This year mortals walk among the immortals — a Night in the
Halls of the Gods, where the old pantheons set aside their feuds
for one evening of wine, laurel, and thunder.
Come robed as a legend: Olympians in gold, Roman gods and their emperors,
the Aesir of Asgard, titans, valkyries, oracles, and monsters. Laurel
crowns, aegis and spear, hammer and horned helm — dress as the myth
you'd most like to be mistaken for. Come as a god or a monster.
Prizes for the most divine and the most dreadful.
The Details
Will you answer the gods?
Send word by October 24th, before the Fates decide for you.
It is decided.
The Trials of the Gods
Glory, cunning, and coin await those bold enough to enter the games.
I
Medusa & the Mirror
Each guest receives a likeness of Medusa. Trick another mortal into meeting her gaze and they are turned to stone: rooted where they stand until their cup is drained. A mirror won from the Sphinx reflects the curse and leaves its bearer unharmed.
II
The Riddle of the Sphinx
Any soul may be summoned to face the Sphinx and answer her riddle. Speak the truth and claim a sacred mirror, which may be shown when Medusa appears to nullify her petrifying gaze.
III
Dueling Drachmas
Upon crossing the threshold, each guest receives a purse of coins. Challenge a rival, agree upon a wager, and settle it through a feat of skill—perhaps casting an orb into a cup. The victor claims the wager, and the richest soul at night’s end wins the gods’ favor.
